Although employers are still waiting for OR-OSHA’s final rules on COVID-19 workplace protection, we do have recently-published OR-OSHA expectations on how employers can effectuate Oregon Health Authority’s May 18th guidance on social distance and face covering requirements for fully vaccinated individuals.
BLUF (bottom line up front):
- Employers may lift the face covering and social distance requirements for fully vaccinated employees (and other individuals) in the workplace.
- Employers must enforce the face covering and social distance requirements for any employee or other individual who is not fully vaccinated or who refuses to show proof of vaccination.
